Scott is the co-founder and Executive Director of Makerspace NYC which he founded with his wife, DB Lampman, in 2013 after his shop flooded during Superstorm Sandy.  Since 2013, Makerspace NYC has served over 50,000 people, including approximately 40,000 schoolchildren. Makerspace NYC has grown to be the largest makerspace in NYC, giving people access to a wide variety of industrial and advanced manufacturing equipment in two boroughs, Staten Island and Brooklyn. Scott has personally taught hundreds of people how to weld and inspired many people to pursue their own dreams of making things.
